Challenge guide
The 90-day glow up challenge
A real glow up isn’t a filter. It’s three months of small, kind habits for your skin, body, sleep and mind. Here’s a plan you can follow and a checklist you can actually keep.
What is a 90-day glow up?
A glow up challenge is a set period of taking better care of yourself, inside and out. Ninety days is popular because it is long enough to see real changes in sleep, skin, fitness and confidence, and short enough to stay motivated. There are no official rules: you choose habits that make you feel healthier and more like yourself.
The five areas of a glow up
| Area | Daily habit ideas |
|---|---|
| Skin | Simple morning and night routine, sunscreen, wash off makeup |
| Body | Move for 30 minutes, 8 glasses of water, more fruit and vegetables |
| Sleep | In bed by 11 pm, phone out of the bedroom |
| Mind | Read or learn for 20 minutes, write three things you’re grateful for |
| Style and space | Lay out tomorrow’s outfit, tidy one small area |
Choose five or six habits in total. A glow up that takes two hours a day won’t survive week three.
A 90-day glow up plan
Month 1: the basics
Sleep, water, movement and a simple skincare routine. These four make the biggest visible difference and support everything else. Take a “day 1” photo in natural light.
Month 2: build on it
Keep month 1 going and add one mind habit, such as reading or a gratitude list. Clear out clothes you never wear, and notice which foods give you energy.
Month 3: polish and keep
Try one new thing: a haircut, a new training class, a hobby you’ve been putting off. In the final week, take a “day 90” photo in the same light and write down what changed, especially how you feel.
Daily glow up checklist
- Skincare morning and night
- 8 glasses of water
- 30 minutes of movement
- In bed by 11 pm
- 20 minutes of reading or learning
- Three things you’re grateful for
The free 90-Day Glow Up plan in Winter Arc adds all six with a 90-day countdown, and you can compare your day 1 and day 90 photos side by side.
A healthy glow up mindset
- Compare with day 1, not with strangers online. Edited photos aren’t a fair benchmark.
- Care, don’t punish. Avoid crash diets and extreme routines; they undo progress.
- Count consistency, not perfection. Five out of six habits on a busy day is a win.
For skin concerns, sudden weight changes or diet plans, talk to a doctor or dermatologist rather than following trends.
Frequently asked questions
How do I start a 90-day glow up?
Pick five or six small daily habits across skin, body, sleep and mind, take a day 1 photo, and track the habits every day for 90 days.
What should be on a glow up checklist?
A simple skincare routine, enough water, 30 minutes of movement, a regular bedtime, some reading or learning, and a gratitude list are a strong start.
Can you really glow up in 90 days?
Yes. Ninety days of better sleep, movement, hydration and skincare makes a visible difference for most people, and the confidence that comes with keeping a promise to yourself is often the biggest change.
Is a glow up only about looks?
No. The best glow ups improve how you feel: energy, sleep, mood and confidence. Appearance usually follows.
How do I track my glow up?
Use a daily habit tracker and take progress photos at the start and end. Winter Arc has a free 90-Day Glow Up plan and lets you compare day 1 and day 90 photos.
